Teachers, nurses, accountants, students — our coaches come from all walks of life. What they share: a desire to pass on what they know, not necessarily a degree in computer science.
“I joined Code Club, and especially CoderDojo, because of my son. He found other young people there who shared his interests, as well as a community that helped him grow. I have always thought it was important to continue offering this opportunity to other young people and to support this cause. Not all young people play football or tennis, but they have the same need to meet people who speak the same language and understand each other. I became responsible for the Dojo, without much knowledge, and I learned a lot with and thanks to the young people.”
“I got involved quite naturally, with the idea of giving some of my time to something useful. And over time, it’s especially the moments of discovery and lightbulb moments in the young people that make me want to keep going.”
“I love seeing the kids' creativity come out when they build their own games. Every project is different. I want to help them discover what they're capable of.”
No need to be a developer. Our coaches are supported at every step, from day one.
