Coding Goûter: 150 children, 16 workshops, one magical day

What an incredible day our Coding Goûter was! The idea is simple: we code, we share cake… and the magic happens. This latest edition brought families, children and volunteers together for a wonderful moment of creativity and discovery.

16 workshops to explore coding and creativity

A huge thank you to our 56 volunteers and coaches, who prepared the event, welcomed the families and ran no fewer than 16 workshops.

On the programme: Scratch and its ghosts, the Raving Rabbids, Minecraft Hour of Code, Lego Spike (InnoZ Merzig), Python, Raspberry Pi, Pixel Art, driving mBot and Dash robots, the Makey Makey keyboard, generative art with PlottyBot, an introduction to Machine Learning, designing and 3D-printing pendants, creating mobile apps, experimenting with Saarland University’s Science Lab, board games, Cubetto on tour… not forgetting Robot Dog, who came along to put on a show.

A community out in force

Thanks also to the 87 parents and friends, and to the 150 children who filled Technoport with curiosity, enthusiasm and good cheer. Families brought delicious snacks to share — the perfect combination for a day full of smiles.

A big thank you to Technoport SA for hosting us, to our mentors, and to Saarland University and InnoZ Merzig-Wadern for their support and participation. What a team, what a community! We are already looking forward to seeing you at the next edition.
